The Imam Reza Shrine, or the Razavi Shrine, is the mausoleum of Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha, the eighth Imam of the Twelver Shia. This sacred site is located in the center of Mashhad, in the Razavi Khorasan province of Iran, and is known as a "haram" and a holy place for the Twelver Shia. The Imam Reza Shrine annually hosts a large number of pilgrims and visitors. This mausoleum is the only tomb of a Shia Imam in Iran.
